This is my first ever blog and am no professional writer at all so please bear with me. However, I still hope that I catch up your interest and I try to be as raw as possible to inspire and spread positivity in you.
What can you actually do in the heart of Jakarta as expats? Honestly, it is just mostly window shopping and dining out in different restaurants. It is quite urban and a lot of mega traffics in every corner of the street. Hence, it takes time for you to reach your destination.

My husband is working full-time here from Monday to Saturday and the only day that we can have siesta time together is after his Saturday work.

Last Saturday, we went to Pacific Place Shopping center to roam around and dine out as well. Pacific Place is the house of many luxurious brands and restaurants.
Our first stop is Hard Rock Jakarta for a few drinks. We ordered cold beers and ate nachos while discussing and weighing our future. We only have a few months left in Jakarta that’s why the reality of working life is getting into my nerves quite soon. (I took a year off to support my husband on his new job opportunities)

After that, we searched for Nettle Tea coz we heard that it is good for cleansing the body. Unfortunately, it is not available in the teahouse that we visited.
Since Chinese New Year is also approaching, we see a lot of Chinese ornaments display hanging in every corner. Yes, you read it right, they are also celebrating Chinese New Year here in Indonesia and in fact it is announced as public holiday. According to wiki, about 22.3% Chinese Indonesians live in Jakarta.

We spent the rest of the evening in another restaurant Potato Head. It has a very vibrant yet relaxing ambiance. That’s why little we knew, it was almost 12 midnight and time to go home and sleep.
That’s how we usually end our Saturday. A little sip here and there. I hope you guys enjoy and till next time! 😘
